For the last decades Russian women have been searching for husbands abroad. Basically, what this shows and magazine articles are trying to say is that some of these women blinded by the possible wonderful and cloudless future can become victims of a huge scam.
Russian ladies who are looking for husbands abroad are usually fall in the category of middle-age ladies, usually with a kid or two, who just look for romance and love in their lives. Because of the fact that the population difference between men and women in Russia is significant just increases the opportunity for men to be not that careful in relationships with women. On one of the Russian TV shows they discussed an issue of why Russian men easily change relationship with a forty-year old woman to ones with two twenty-year olds. Thus, it is understandable why quite a number of women who turn to internet dating are the ones who had bad experience under their belts. These ladies are trying to find happiness and love, therefore they are becoming quite a sensitive group who can be easily abused.
There were cases when after not a long correspondence women are rushing into moving to their beloved ones, where they see what they were not quite expecting. It's whether life conditions are awful or their husband take advantage of them to some point. Things that can go wrong are numerous. The notorious case when a group operated to take advantage of single Russian women over forty who met a foreigner, fell in love and then after some certain time this foreigner was allegedly taken as a hostage and definitely needed money to be relieved. After the money was taken the handsome and loving foreigner disappeared forever.
In other words, the ways how men or women seeking for relationship and marriage can be scammed are countless. Being quite a sensitive category these people are very gullible and think that miracle finally happen to them, when in reality the stories just look too good to be true. It is crucial in this case keep your head on your shoulders and don't forget that in order to find that special somebody one needs to be very thoughtful and cautious, especially when that certain somebody lives in a different country.
